We're Back!

Well, it has been over a year and a half since we have done the "blog" thing. So, we are back thanks to Carrie's encouragement. After our trip across the world, we soon found out we were pregnant with our third child. Needless to say, that is why we haven't been posting! So, now Blake is here, and he is 7 months old! He came a few weeks early on March 30, 2007. He is a very happy baby and his sister and brother really love him and look out for him. If he makes a sound, I hear, "Mom, Blake is crying!" As if I can't hear him, and as if a noise is "crying!" But they are great at getting a burp rag, a toy, talking to him, entertaining, him, etc.

Halloween Fun!

Yesterday we all enjoyed trick or treating at a church fall festival and at a few houses on our street. Braden wanted to wear his mask the whole time (that would have driven me crazy!) and he got to see "Big Spiderman"! They had a great time and especially enjoyed the fact that everyone gave them free candy! Briley told everyone she was a "princess dog".

African Summer

Well, we finally got our pictures from Africa downloaded. I know, we have been back for more than a month now but, well, . . . we don't have any good excuses. Hope you enjoy the photos. The video we took would show more of the game park and the different animals we saw but Doug is not here and I don't know how to add video or even if we can.
Braden and Briley are doing well. They are playing more and more with each other this summer. Well, playing and fighting. I guess one comes with the other. Tonight, Braden was hitting his sister on top of the head and laughing. I guess he is learning how to put up a fight. Briley said, Mom, that hurt my feelings! She is quite the dramatist as she always has been. They have been all about swimming this summer. It is quite an ordeal to take them though, by the time you get the floaties and swim diapers and drinks and snacks and get them all lotioned up while they are trying to wriggle free, I am tired just thinking about it! Well, that's all for now folks!

So, it has been awhile. . .

Well, it has been awhile, since an email of pics or updates from the Waddills, so here is a quick recap of perhaps the past 6 or so months. Yes, they have been busy!

Well, enjoy some pictures of Braden's First Bday party, Halloween, Christmas, and just some recent pictures, if you want to. The slideshow on the main page will change from time to time, so be sure to check back at what pictures are circulating there. And, as always, please leave any comments on the by clicking on the comment tab on this post. If you aren't sure how to post, read on down, and I have instructions.

So, Braden is starting to talk now, and this communication is much needed for us. No more yelling (ok, not as much yelling). He and Briley love to play together, and he seems to be able to keep up for the most part. We enjoy watching him run like a true "Waddill" with a waddle, but he is much more stable and bruise free.

Rochelle is singing in "Carmen" at the Houston Grand Opera which keeps her busy and traveling the Houston Freeways. She teaches several students voice/piano out of the house, so she has quite a full plate. Doug is still searching for an AP job and teaching away. Counting down the days until summer.

And the big news on the horizon is AFRICA. On May 31st, we are going to Uganda. We are leaving the kids here for 16 days to go see Nice and Renee and fam. Our moms will be graciously and collectively watching the two kids. We are so excited. We have had our shots, listened to our Ugandian Language CD, and gotten passports ready. We are so excited to see the work there, and spend time with the Fouts.

Well, thanks for reading. Let us know how you are doing. Our emails are on the right column.
